MCB - Miniature Circuit Breaker

MCCB - Molded Case Circuit Breaker

 

Miniature circuit breakers are designed in low KAIC and will interrupt only one line without installing a circuit breaker link. MCCB are designed for higher KAIC and will interrupt or cut all lines when it senses fault in any of the line due to the internal or built-in link.

MCB stand for Miniature Circuit Breaker where as MCCB stand for Moudule Case Ciruit Breaker,We should not confuse with each other,there are actually key differences between the two that makes specially made for specific jobs.

MCB are used in small circuit such as home wiring with amps below 100,where as MCCB are used in high power equipment below 2500 amps
