Usually it is preferred to install Chiller in open places because it is very difficult to avoid noise of the compressors, in case of air cooled chiller noise of fans will be additional.

Generation of noise will be different during life span of chiller. In case if the chillers are installed above occupied floor it is recommended to perform treatment of the slab to damp the vibration and noise to be transmit toward occupied floor.

It is always wise to consult an Acoustic Engineer for these sensitive issues.

if hammering sound  Need to removed Air from line, and if there cracking sound then need to feed material first and then put cold water in jacket line slowly.

Jacketing is not meant  for the noise reduction but for insulation purpose to avoid cooling  losses.we can use spring isolators or cork insulation bed,or vibration isolator pads either alone or in combinations.

damping the noise by vibration isolation refer to certain maison products which help in damping efficiently

there are certain low noise fans and low sound enclosure (NOT JACKETING) which will help to reduce the noise.

Some chillers are coning with special attenuators or silencers but very expensive
