Do you regard “computer skills” important for a successful career than “soft skills” or not? Why?

From my own perception, Soft Skills: More important than you might imagine!

The explanation:

We all know about teaching technical skills, whether it’s computer skills, IT techniques, or how to use a piece of technological devices as laptops or Android cell phone. These are the “easy” things to teach because anyone can get access to technical knowledge which are easy learned, competencies acquired, and skills demonstrated.

On the other hand, anyone that has ever hired or managed employees can tell you that soft skills are most important far more to be successful in the workplace.

However, Soft skills could help any candidate or job seeker  as those are task-oriented skills and significant to  be successful at any workplace, these Soft skills and other desired personal attributes include:

1-Interpersonal skills

2-Communication skills

3-Time management skills

4-Leadership skills

5-Problem-solving skills

6-Social skills

7-Teamwork skills

8-Organizational skills

9-Personal work ethics and integrity

10-Attitude and demeanor

11-Willingness to learn

From my own view,  most of soft skills seem to me be difficult to teach and even harder to assess. Employers look for these skills and attributes when recruiting as a way of predicting success in the workplace. It is important that job applicants to have opportunities to learn and practice these “soft skills” to increase their chance to be hired when search for a job .

From my personal experience, I generally exhibited both strong technical knowledge in terms of general computer skills, and  soft skills required to be successful in a professional office environment.

Soft skills come first then computer skills

They've both relevant an important skills. Computers are essential to be able to adapt to technological advances, and soft skills help in relationship building!
