Hai Mustafa,

You can configure either of them. If you making a server a your dhcp server you need to have static ip for the server first. In the case of router you should just add a scopes and helper address .

I should configure it in the server but I need to make a static IP in the server, When I will make a dhcp server it will automatiquelly send the ip to all the clients

where you should configure your network DHCP server depands upon network Design of your network

you can configure you DHCP server at your Server computer if your router is behind the server and your Server is acting as router for your network

if you are using router between your server and network clients then you should configure your DHCP server on Router

depends on the number of users to be served

i would like to install the DHCP service on a stand alone server (along with syslog and NTP services) to dedicate the router for routing traffic only.

for small environments it will be fine to use the routers added features as in home DSL.
