In cut-through switching, the switch copies into its memory only the destination MAC address of the frame before doing a switching . a switch operates in a cut through start forwarding frames as long as he gets the destination mac address. Problem related with cut-through switching is that the switch may forward bad frames.

2. Cut Through

3. Fragment Free

LAN switches are described by the sending strategy that they backing, for example, a store-and-forward switch, cut-through switch, or fragment-free switch. In the store-and-forward exchanging technique, mistake checking is performed against the edge, and any frame with errors is disposed of. With the cut-through switching method, no mistake checking is performed against the edge, which makes sending the edge through the switch quicker than store-and-forward switches
