Do you think Shakespeare plays still move the heart and fire the imagination four centuries after they were penned?

Shakespeare is called the greatest author in the English language not only because his works are in English, but also for his profound and lasting impact on the language itself. Of the Twenty Five Thousand words in the canon, roughly Thousand Five Hundred, were coined by Shakespeare himself. Shakespeare's writings greatly influenced the entire English language. Prior to and during Shakespeare's time, the grammar and rules of English were not standardized. But once Shakespeare's plays became popular in the late seventeenth and eighteenth century, they helped contribute to the standardization of the English language, with many Shakespearean words and phrases becoming embedded in the English language.  Among Shakespeare's greatest contributions to the English language must be the introduction of new vocabulary and phrases which have enriched the language making it more colorful and expressive. Many of Shakespeare's original phrases are still used in conversation and language today. These include, but are not limited to; "seen better days, strange bedfellows, a sorry sight,"and "full circle". Shakespeare's effect on vocabulary is rather astounding when considering how much language has changed since his lifetime

Yes, they do. Some people consider them timeless since time hasn't affected their appeal. And a lot of people consider their appeal as universal, that is, people from all races and cultures find their themes appealing to them since they deal with human nature, not with a particular race or culture. But, of course, there is criticism too, and there are occasions when critics find them slightly anti-Semitic (Shylock the Jew!), anti-feminist (advocating suppression of women) and even colonialist.

Yes! It will still continue on the days ahead as he is the greatest writer in the history of the English language.

His writings influence and enrich English vocabulary, blank verse and poetry.

Yes it would still move any heart. Actually we have now the modern Shakespeare, where the language is less complex and the dialogue is adapted to the recent era.

Thanks for the invite I am waiting for answers to relevant experts

Definitely.

Shakespeare had talent in portraying imagery in a way that is still unpreceded.

Moreover, his characters, plots and moral lessons still invite movie makers to use his works in movies.

Academic programs still celebrate his poetry and plays through teaching as well as academic research.

Shakespeare has set and written unforgettable books and made a shift in the English literacy, and his works are still influencing generations .. It is matter of honor to English language history !

Thank You

I believe that they could do for those who are specialized in English literature since they are able to understand most of their meanings , but for ordinary people, I don't think so because they couldn't understand the old English that Shakespeare used in his works.
