both are very good but i prefer siemens cause i know every thing about it and i dealt with it more and more so it depends on your preferance.

:) both are good PLCs. but AB is easier to learn, to program. if you want to make it easy user AB but SIEMENS is cheaper ;)

Both Siemens and Allen Bradley offer intensive support and reliable PLC 's . Depends on what you are looking for, local expertise and support available , feasibility and the budget than analyze and choose appropraitely.

Siemens vs Allen Bradley PLCs:

According some programming engineering experts :Allen Bradley PLC is better than the Siemens for these criteria:

 

1- Ability to create and Import/Export tags with Excel to SCADA databases.

2- Mass production of codes.

3- Communication to third party equipment.

4- Program documentation capabilities.

5- User friendly interface.

6- Less difficulty for ordinary electricians (maintenance) than Siemens.

 

It remains to say that other engineers who survive by teamwork and standardization of design, would prefer the Siemens, because of presence lot of different languages in S7.
