For this you can learn about infra and Rf services which can be used in telecommunication . For telecommunication you read some basic topics like GSM , SS7 , ISDN etc ... lot of study materials are available in internet . you can learn from youtube also .
This question has mainly two parts; Electrical & Telecom; typically an Electrical Engineer can also perform well in telecom industry for telecommunication technology by getting few basic on-job trainings in BSS,TXN, OCN, NOC, O&M etc. Nonetheless, an Electrical Engineer in telecom industry can excel in Non-telco environment i-e AC Power (Genset, UPS, ATS, LV Distribution, Grounding, Power quality etc) & DC Power (Rectifiers, Battery banks, DC distribution, Environmental alarms etc) HVAC, Site Maintenance, Data Center Facilities management.
Based upon career orientation & objectives, you can poilsh your skills preferably in one out of two areas mentioned above in telecom industry if you are alreday part of it, else you have to strive for an internship if a fresh graduate & keep googling to update basic skills there is too much to offer!
Happy learning:)
