When configuring a router utilizing both physical and logical interfaces, what factor must be considered in determining the OSPF router ID?

in OSPF the Router ID will be chosen using the following List:

1- the router ID command under the OSPF process will be the first one to be used and it is recommended.

2- the higher IP address of loopback (logical) interfaces.

3- the higher IP address of physical interfaces.

Note:

the router ID should be planned and configured because if two routers has the same router ID by mistake they will not form an adjacency.

Also in case of Virtual Links if the router ID is changed it will not work.
