True of course. It is the customer service job to help and direct the customer in the best way possible. If the customer cannot reach the demanded department the customer service employee should help the customer reach a solution even if it means directing the call to higher ups. if that does not please the higher ups then they do not have any idea on what customer service means and that's what we see in today's companies: the failure of customer service.
