i think conflict has to do with piled up issues that has generated overtime and takes longer time to settle and mosts times led to violence whereas dispute is minor and can be settled immediately just like most basic family issues.
Conflict - Long-term issues that are non-negotiable. Issues of moral values differences, high-stake distributional issues that are deep rooted and in human mind. Non-compromise issued.
Dispute - short term disagreement or arguments in which parties to the dispute can reach some sort of a resolution. Issues that involve interests and a compromise can easily be reached by both parties.
