DIFFERENT BETWEEN CABLE TRAY AND CABLE TRUNK

  1.   CABLE TRAY :- IS USE FOR ARRANGING POWER SUPPLY CABLE WITH THE USE OF CABLE TIE TO LOOK NEAT AND FOR EASY TRACING IF THERE IS FAULT ON THE CABLE    

   2     CABLE TRUNK :- IS USE FOR ARRANGING CONTORL CABLES TO LOOK NEAT WITH THE USE OF CABLE TIE AND FOR EASE IDENTIFYING

The difference between cable tray & cable trunk simply difines by its name. 1) Cable tray is not covered on top, regular holes in flat wide bottom with both sides little raised to hold slipping of cable and holes in bottom to connect another tray as required length. 2) Cable trunk is rectangular/ square c/s like U shape with cover on top.

Cable Tray : Outdoor and Indoor application can be used with power cable and bulk quantity cable with and without cover. Size can be 200 mm to 900 mm even more.

 

Cable Trunk : Indoor use with data & Control cable as well as minimum quantity cables with cover. Size can be 400 mm to 300 mm max.

Cable tray is a ladder-open-type use in wiring system can be use in outdoor or indoor with option of a cover or not covered. While the cable trunk is close type use in wiring system can be plastic or metal. Use in indoor place specially in panel boards for plastic. And for metal can be used as multiple homerun circuit that a conduit can not be use.

A cable tray is a metallic frame with vents that quantities of cables are layed and tied with cables in good arrangements on and it normally used in industries etc. Cable Trunk is a durable rectangular plastic on which wires and minimum size of cables are layed on with covers to protect wires from dangers metallic materials and are normally used in offices and in the houses.
