Mostly two type of conductor is used

1- Copper

2- Aluminum

both have some resistivity aluminum is 11.2 and  copper 17.4 respectively at 53° C (127° F)

conductor Circular mils =2 x ρ x I x L / (%Allowable Voltage drop of source voltage)
