Ribosome is the protein factory of the cell. Each ribosome  consists of two subunits. mRNA  binds to ribosome and the ribosome synthesizes the polypeptide chain by reading the codons on mRNA by binding of tRNAs carrying aminoacids and recognizing the codons by their anticodons.
