The term multi-currency means using more than one currency, not different one.

 

Example: An employee from United Arab Emirates is normally paid in AED. This employee has been sent to US for a few months and needs the pay check converted to US Dollar. The employee pay has not changed but the currency has that is call multi country payroll.
