Classic media will keep its place in future marketing because no matter what type of technology is being used to view the media, you need commercial advertisements and such in order to keep the products and/or services you are offering at the front line for potential consumers. What you have, though, is what I like to call the funnel effect; social media marketing is at the top of the funnel, always being pushed back in as it exits. Classic marketing, or traditional marketing and media, is at the bottom of the funnel...slowly exiting and only being put back in as needed. So while there is always a place for traditional marketing and media in today's marketing processes and strategies, it's steadily being shoved in to the marketing strategies at a slower pace than newer advertising and marketing methods.
