How to create Auto CC rule in Microsoft Outlook 2010 & 2013?

  • Outlook 2013/2016, In Home Tab, select the Rules drop-down arrow, and select the option Manage Rules and Alerts.
  • Select New Rule, in Rules wizard see under the Start from a blank rule, select the Apply rule on messages I send, click Next.
  • Select trough specified account from step 1 and select your account from step 2 box, click Next.
  • Select Cc the message to people or public group from step 1 and click people or public group to select the people or group you want to cc, click Next and Finish.

since lots of guys have explained this in great detail, all i will say as a tip would be that 2013 & 2016 are pretty much same, and there is a icon of "Rules" you can find in front of your Home Page..click on it and follow the steps after choosing the "New Rule" or "Manage Rules Alert" from the drop down menu of Rules..its pretty straight forward, you should not have trouble finding and doing this..

  1. In Mail, on the Tools menu, click Rules and Alerts.

  2. On the E-mail Rules tab, click New Rule.

  3. In the Rules Wizard dialog box, under Start from a blank rule, click Check messages after sending, and then click Next.

  4. Click Next.

    A confirmation will appear, notifying you that this rule will apply to every message that you send. Click Yes.

  5. Under Step 1: Select action(s), select the Cc the message to people or distribution list check box.

  6. Under Step 2: Edit the rule description (click an underlined value), click people or distribution list.

  7. In the Rule Address dialog box, click a name or distribution list, and then click To. Repeat this step until all names or distribution lists you want to add are included in the To box.

  8. Click OK.

  9. In the Rules Wizard dialog box, click Next.

  10. Click Next.

  11. Under Step 1: Specify a name for this rule, enter a name that you will recognize for this rule.

  12. Click Finish.

1- To create a new blind carbon copy rule, open the Auto BCC/CC for Microsoft Outlook window by clicking on its icon in Outlook 2016, 2013, 2010 or going to the main menu -> tools -> Auto BCC/CC in Outlook 2007. 2-Click the New rule button on the top toolbar or double-click on the Rules List area and you will see the Rule settings dialog box. 3-Type the name of the rule in the Rule name field. 4-Define the rule settings: CC and/or BCC all outgoing emails in Outlook CC and/or BCC automatically based on Outlook account, subject words or other conditions.

  1. Start Microsoft Outlook 2010. Make sure you are under Home tab of the Mail section and then click on Rules and then Manage Rules & Alerts.
  2. A Rules and Alerts window pops up, click New Rule.
  3. A Rules Wizard window pops up. Click on Apply rule on messages I send and then click Next.
  4. Tick through the specified account and then click on specified as shown below.
  5. Select your account or if you have configured more than one account, please scroll through the account selection window for your account. Then click OK.
  6. It returns to the previous window. Check that if a tick is put next to through the specified account and click Next.
  7. Tick Cc the message to people or public group then click on people or public group as shown below.
  8. A Rule Address window pops up. Scroll from the selection pane and click on your account description then click To->, or simply input your exchange account information as shown below. Click OK.
  9. Check that if a tick is put next to Cc the message to people or public group. From the lower half of the displayed window, Cc the message to is followed by your inputted exchange account information as shown below. Click Next to proceed.
  10. There is no additional criteria in this setup page is required, click Finish to proceed.
  11. A warning dialogue box is popped up. It warns you about that, only messages sent from your selected account with the current running copy of Microsoft Outlook 2010 will become effective with this Auto cc function setup when the captioned Outlook is still running. Click OK to proceed.
  12. You will return to the Rules and Alerts window. Check that if a tick is put next to your newly created Auto cc rule, the desired account and the cc account information is displayed correctly to your selection. Click OK to finish your setup.
