Anyway, "motivating" team members is a silly idea. For a start, they are already motivated. Search my posts to find out why - I've written about this several times.
The important point is that you shouldn't try to motivate people: simply stop de-motivating them.

Now you will know what motivates your team members. Take it up with management with justification and seek the commonly expected "Motivator". Never forget to emphasis your selfstarter - personal reward. Management will certainly appreciate your gesture and consent your recommendation if justified that will lead to achievemnt of common of the organisation.
Money shall be the biggest motivator across all levels of team members, but there are few things which shall be greater to few people. Hence it is very important to understand the person in your team, so that you will be in a better position to figure out the exact way of motivations for your team members. I don't believe in common formula for motivations and it depends on the individual and it is more realistic
