Quality policy and Quality Standards are two different things.
Quality policy should be developed jointly by Management and Quality experts along the guidelines shown in the standards. It is a mandatory requirement in Standards and it should cover entire aspects of product quality to achieve customer satisfaction.

Quality standards are established where products or services that where developed and offered are in conformance and consistent to what has been conceived as acceptable or specifically to standards established by internationally known institutions.
