They are handed by trained customer service personnel and their goals are to make sure products and services meet or surpass the expectations of the customers. It also includes various activities like survey whether interview by phone or actual or survey fill and forms to find out whether the customer is happy with the products or not. It is a crucial aspect of sales management and must not be ignored.
The term after sales service used my companies when they sell the product such as maintainance of particular product for some period of time when a consumer has purchased the product.
