It is always good to make payment by cheque most secured method of payment, and if paid after getting minimum 30 days credit that will be good.

If need to be choose from the given example the most appropriate method will be Cash.

First of all ... Purchasing may negotiate the payment terms. It is Finance not Purchasing which prefers these terms

Net is a normal term, however the longer the Net term your controller will like it.

checks wire transfers(T/T's) are more domestically used

LCL's when dealing with overseas (Asia)

It all depends on the vendor and his/her location.

Purchasing should negotiate payment terms. Longer payment terms help to manage cash flow.

Payment mode depends on the vendor and his/ her location, now a day company established companies prefer wire transfers.

In fact , negotiation of payment terms is an integral part of the cost reduction excercies  adopted by purchasing managers and buyers as it adds much to the development of the cashflow for the organization.

The longer the payment facility is, the better the cahsflow process  continues. Thus, a cedit of days  / days deferred payment is the best .

This of course depends on the mutual relationship with the contractors/vendors and the stable market and supply chain  requirements.
