When you’re watching your labor costs, it is important to know how to handle an employee resignation, compensation-wise. If you require employees to provide two weeks’ notice of their resignation, you may have to pay them for that full period even if you release them earlier. But, even if you only request the advance notice, it still may be better employee relations to pay for that full two-week period.
First of all, the UAE labor law does not provide for emergency leave to private sector workers unless, the company grant emergency leave as exemption. You need to apply emergency leave by sending official email to your direct manager or follow the company's procedure for leave application for approval.
Please bear in mind that emergency leave is not paid leave unless, you and company agreed that it will be deducted from your Annual Leave if you have completed one year in service.
First, you need to tell your supervisor about the emergency that needs your presence and apply for an emergency vacation in proper format. If you have vacation due then you can proceed on vacation with ticket from Employer with all your due (If management is agreed), otherwise, you will need to shell out exit re entry visa fees to get your visa stamped and proceed on unpaid leave after buying your own tickets. But make sure that you do not tell lie to your supervisor about your emergency.

Dear Haifa,
Greetings,
Request for an emergency leave.

Haytham ElKhodary
you can start by telling them that you had an emergency and take unpaid two weeks off and tell them that you will make it up even if you had to consider it as a part of your annual vacation.
