As a leader, how do you become a better leader? If you’re like me, you probably read a lot of books, listen to podcasts, and attend a few conferences. But one of the best ways to grow is to ask other leaders questions
1) Observe. Observe yourself, and others. What is good leadership? What is not?
2) Think.
3) Empathise. Put yourself in the shoes of others.
4) Be a good follower.
5) Always remember the nature of the relationship that you have with your team: you are their servant.
Leading a group requires a mutual sense of trust and understanding between the leader and the team members.
As a first step toward that goal, leaders should learn to connect. Building a real personal connection with your teammates is vital.
You'll become a good Leader if you are a good Follower.
1. Create atmosphere when anybody can come to discuss anything problem with you.
2. When your staff make mistakes, rather then killing their soul, groom them to learn from their mistake and never disgrace them from their mistakes.
3. When needed, become strict for required period of time and then again become soft and polite.
Most of all us stop following and start focusing on leading alone. Once become a leader, we must continue to follow the better or and effective leader to become better effective leader.
