How do you measure success for you as a leader?

When the task is completed early, under budget, over quality, with a more positive impact on the outside world than was planned, all team members have learned something new and everybody has enjoyed the experience.  Obviously that includes routine basics like making the team more robust (e.g. cross-training), pushing team members who'll benefit from it and supporting team team members who are having a difficult time, strengthening relationships with third parties and so on. 

What you're really aiming for, of course, is to complete all of that plus do something good that was unforeseeable at the start: a bonus, if you like.

Personally, I find it satisfying when people (whether team members, clients or whoever) say things like, "I didn't know it could be done as well as that."

Actually, I can put it more simply: success is when everybody involved has fulfilled their potential.

It is clever question , When leader find his team working as an one person , when leader find his team unified around him, when leader find the objectives achieved by his team under his supervision and through his orders , then he can say " I am the winner "

My success is when all employees are satisfied with the work and of course with the salary. When the company at the end of the year is operate very satisfactorily, and achieve all planned and even more than that.
