Plotting :

Plotting is a term that is used with large scale printing, such as 24x36 or 36x42 sheets. These are actually printed from a plotter.

Printing :

Printing is a term that is used with small scale printing, such as 8.5x11 or 11x17. These are printed from a printer.

It is the same idea but printing for text and ploting for drawings and maps

As I know, it depends on the size of something you're willing to print, and plotting is used with large sheets. But I can say that when I was looking for a company to print big posters, I managed to discover printsafari online printing, and I was searching for printing services, so I don't think it matters much.

Print: used for Printing A3 and Smaller size

Plot: used for printing larger than A3 size
