ask always yourself why you need to go to the gym, remember the good results of exercising
Just think about how much fun you'll get there, how many disease you can avoid and put a goal to keep yourself motivated.
Look at the old clothes you loved but dont fit anymore and remind yourself of how much you loved them and how good you looked with them on. Then tell yourself that you need to get back in shape to fit in them.
You can also stand in front of the mirror and talk to yourself. I do that sometimes, only I don't talk but end up cursing myself (Kidding)
Look at the mirror then ask your body, Are we done yet?
the best way is to hang a pice of your old clothe where you can see it ... take a picture of your self and put it on the refrigerator.....eyes on the prize
