Firstly try to understand or motivate him/her.(boss),If not possible try to inform this situation to upward authority for the  great interest of the organization or office.Working should be done on the view of target or plan, not for the desire of wrong person.

Answer to this situation lies in good communication skills, there is always a sweet way of saying even the bitterest thing. Remember the example of a kingwho narrated his dream and asked for its interpretation. One courtier answered that your all sons and duaghters will die before you. The king was annoyed. The other man answered, O KIng you will live longer than your childern. The King was pleased. Though in effect both persons gave the same reply its only a matter of how you word your statement.

That's why the art of communications skill is so vital in every sphere of life.

in my case, its very simple "if you think this is right then you are wrong"

in my previous company somthing like this happend with me...

( this conversation happened between Me and my boss, front of employees)

boss: need to do this

me: its wrong it can't be done

boss: how can you say this, it can be done if any persone spent some effort and time easly.

me: no, no one can do it.

boss: any thing can be done

me: fine let your entire company try to do it, in company there is no one who can do it.....

in Next7 days or may be more not remembaring

every employee was trying to do the (particular thing)

after this whenever boss come to the room he was avoiding talking to me even to say good moring, to the next few weeks. ....

Right is Right and Wrong is Wrong ........

I will try to refer to it in indirect way like giving an example or talking about someone else who took the right choice that's if ur boss doesn't accept any criticism but if he is okay with that u can say it in a friendly way where u don't show him that he is totally wrong and that u're better than him.

I'd try to discuess it between the two of us why I can't seem to agree with them. My reasons for not agreeing or understanding . I'd let them know they are the boss and if they still think they want it their way, then I'm not responsible for the outcome.

MANAGERS ALWAYES RIGHT- that's what they are thinking.

So, no one of the will accept to be told that he is doing or saying wrong.

You have to say as an advice and you have to show himm that he still the manager(can't say the leader) coz leader accept advice

The worst thing you can do is make them feel or admit they are wrong. Stay clear of trying to win the right/wrong battle. You might make your point today, but they won't forget and you will be on the short list out the door. Staying in your bosses favor and making them feel good about you being on their team is very important. Just don't do it by proving they were wrong. It is just not worth it. This is your career!!! Don't mess it up by trying to prove a point no matter what the topic is. If it is a matter of employee safety and they are not in agreement then find another job on your terms, not the bosses terms. You can always report the concern anonymously.

Let him breif the wrong or impact of failure, don't argur or lose temper, let him face the failure. Do present your solution with proper working. Don't bring EGO in your failure, aceept it if things went good. Afterall its a Learning experience for you.

You need to explain and not argue with your boss. If you argue then you cannot hope to convince him/her.

If you put the facts in a way that he/she understands and appreciates then there is no reason why your point would not be taken. I would expect to either convince him/her or get convinced by his/her point of view.  But not having that conversation would not be healthy for you and your boss.

If this continues too long it is in your best interest to migrate to a new job!

It depends about his character, some of them don't like to be considered wrong, for me i prefer to give my advice and opinion, and at the end it is his call, that's why he is the manager :)
