I am not an expert in CRM software but none the less i will contribute something.

I think Open source CRM software can be suitable for small businesses & an NGO in this case because it provides easy acess to the public & users, it be easily modified free of charge, it can further be developed to suit the needs & goals of tge organisation & it gives the organisation full control.

Thanx for the invitation

Plenty of CRMs out there to choose from - some cost more, some less; some are easier to use, some not. Personal preference and needs are really what your choice comes down to. Pipedrive (link to website) is a tool that quite a few non-profits happily use. To track your current and potential donors, you can create different pipelines within Pipedrive. You’ll be able to set different pipeline stages to track how far along your current or potential donors are along your process. You could even set up a separate pipeline for managing your project and the different phases. For every donor, you can add notes as to what’s happened before, set activity reminders on what and when you need to do next, and of course do all the normal CRM contact management business of storing contacts and addresses. What makes Pipedrive pretty sweet is its ease of use and its beautiful and minimalistic interface, where you always see on which deals you need to concentrate thanks to the color-coded activity reminders. Overall, Pipedrive is cheap (12$/seat per month) but for a good cause, we’re always happy to pitch in and help by giving out a free account
