Your company is still using stone age tools for reporting. you need to try self service analytics and reporting tool which is easy to use, no training required, many inbuilt report templates to be choose, easy to share with management and accessible over mobile, all at very very less price.

my personal advice, don't waste your valuable time in learning vba or macros, you can create much better report, easily and quickly by reporting tools.

I would suggest you for using dashboard and slicer rather than VBA, you can develop a quality interactive dashboard for financial reporting. I can support you if needed

thanks

did you try PivotChart??

It can be dynamic and customized with no macros needed

To answer your question, the best way is to record macro, then modify code to match your needs
