The Impact of Termination on Employees: For many employees a termination is a defining moment in their life ─ a moment in time that affects every aspect of their lives; emotionally, mentally, financially and, for some, physically

In case of disciplinary issues, termination is the last resort once all other methods to improve the employee's attitude and motivation have been looked into. Mostly termination is the next step following a verbal warning and1/2 written warnings. Certain types of behaviors can warrent immediate dismissals e.g. abuse, wilful endangerment to other colleagues or property..etc. Termination raises questions on recruitment, employee engagement, disciplinary processes..etc and can provide valuable indicators for things that need to be improved within the department as well. Additionally a termination would involve going through a recruitment process once again to hire a suitable replacement which can be a costly exercise particularly if it's a new hire.

Let me ask this question please. Do you think it is acceptable that an employer does not stick to the basics of the agreement, for example does not pay the full salary or does not pay it on time? So why should an employee be allowed to disregard the basics of the agreement?

in any company , termination should be the last solution ... before termination there are alot of things should be done first and in sequence like verbal warning , written warning , salary deduction , ........etc. then termination will be the last solution

The termination of someone's employment is a difficult time for both the employer and the employee. An employer can terminate any at-will employee at any time, for any reason including an arbitrary or irrational reason or for no reason at all. However, an employer cannot terminate an employee for an unlawful reason.

If you signed an employment agreement with your employer that agreement may tell you when and under what circumstances you can be terminated. if his/her behavior is causing problems and don’t have discipline first step is that we give them warning. Hope they will be change. Otherwise cutting salary and at end termination if they don’t want to change.

It depends on the reason or that action from the employee,

if its out of the company policy and something really big, then termination is the optimum solution, but if its toward a manager or another college or even within the company policy, there is another disciplinary actions to be considered like take out the KPI/bonus, warning or memo ….

I guess it would be better giving him several warnings before termination, in parallel; the work management should look for alternatives, because termination of an emplyee without studying the consequences might leave a gap and impact the work flow, like we say in automotive engineering, for an engine, a dirty lubrication oil is better than no oil at all!
