Respected Sir, first of all, heartfelt thanks for the invitation; an INSPIRATIONAL QUESTION INDEED.
TO ME, 'EMPATHY, EMPATHY AND EMPATHY' is the quality which is needed the most by today's Leaders.
Very Sorry to say, today's Leaders live in their brains only using Logic, Strategy and Focus of attention, which undoubtedly are the attributes of good leaders, but,
I believe in conquering the HEARTS which is only possible through Inspiring, Nurturing and Caring, and, believe me, Once today's Leaders learn to combine LOGIC WITH INSPIRATION, EMPATHY AND CARE, THEY WILL CONQUER THE COSMOS.
Thanks
First of all, I would like to thank you for your questions, and I want to add that, True Leaders nowadays need more efforts to shining and showing clearly , especially with all these competitions and crowd.
Yes they need new thoughts come from Brain, Gut , and head (All of above) since the leader treats with different people and cultures , some of them need decision came from brain due to their difficult nature , while some of them need special treatment came from the tender heart due to their emotional nature , and some decision based on insights and prudence.
Let me share what I learnt. We now know that intelligence is distributed throughout the body. Whenever you have a direct experience it does not go directly to the brain to be thought about. The first place it goes is to the neurological networks of the intestinal tract and heart.
The Brain in the Gut. Every contact point with life creates a gut feeling: you may notice it as "butterflies in your stomach" or a "knot" of intestinal tension or excitement. Or, depending on how intensely you have been trained to always stay in your head alone, you may not notice it at all. But it is there. And it is asking a lot of questions, whether you know it or not. Not just asking them – answering them, too, in ways that will affect your actions. How important is this meeting or this challenge or this person? Is there an opportunity here? Is there a threat? Is my happiness or advancement at risk?
The Brain in the Heart. After each experience has been digested by the enteric nervous system, it's the heart's turn to ponder it. Every single heartbeat speaks an intelligent language to your whole body, a language that deeply influences how you perceive your world and how you react to it. It's no wonder that when people don't feel cared about and uniquely valued, they do not put their hearts into their life or work. The only statistically significant factor differentiating the very best leaders from the mediocre ones is ispiring, nurturing and caring.
The Brain in the Head. Third stop for nerve impulses is an area at the base of the brain known as the medulla. Several key things happen there. This part of the brain has evolved over millennia with an inherent tendency to magnify negative incoming messages and minimize positive ones. Which is why, at the end of a typical workday when a hundred things have gone quite well and one has gone slightly wrong, nearly all of us become preoccupied with the one thing that went slightly wrong. If we don't learn to guide and manage its influence, it can dominate our perceptions and paralyze progress. Given the choice, it always interprets things negatively. "Better safe than sorry" are the words it lives by.
Each time you face an important moment during the day, ask, What does my gut say about this? My heart? My head? Then listen more clearly to each of those three streams of intelligence as you decide how to act or interact. With practice, this will not slow your ability to make on-the-spot decisions; rather, it will deepen and improve such decisions
That's right. I think that the new insights and skills those inspiring people are coming from brain and open mindset of today's leaders.
Basically, the complex issues and adaptive challenges facing organizations today require a far more generative response than simply devising innovative strategies and new business models. New strategies developed and executed from conditioned ways of being and thinking predictably end up back in status quo. What is required is a new form of leadership using holistic thinking . Not a new approach to leadership, but a new form for creativity . This new form is not about a particular leadership style or ‘type’ of leadership. It’s about the leader themselves and their ability to emerge new levels of consciousness and wisdom in their insights for better decision-making.

a fantastic question Mr. Heavenly J. John
Being a good Leader is like cooking a dish
a bit of every spices but most importantly do it with Love.
There is something that the Heart knows that the Brain can't comprehend.
In my long years of experience with different countries across the globe, I easily find out that nothing from heart or sympathetic in business, but from sharp brain due to the impact high tech modern (restless) education systems. Again, here my answer is "sharp brain deals with carefully viewed points of strategies" are managing modern business world or even life by all means.
