In MS Excel if one cell contains text and other number, then they can be added together in 3rd cell by using ampersand sign; and use parenthesis for giving space.
A1= Number A2= 1234 A3= Number 1234 (formula =A1& " "&A2)

you have two ways...
1- = CONCATENATE(A1;A2)
2- = "A1"&"A2"

If you want to sum numbers you would use sum Function.
Such as.
=sum(A1:A10)
