It always boil down to having a good boss. You may get a good job but if you dont have a good boss it becomes a dead end job. A good boss comes with more upside than just monetary. A good boss recognizes ones potential and grooms them to become better employees. A good boss teaches his employees and this are invaluable lessons an employee could learn. A good boss is cognizant of an employees achievements and efforts does guaranteeing a raise in pay or promotion.

A good and possibly higher paying job is what it is ... just a good job and your stuck there for life.
