Latest trends suggest that there is no future for HR. What do you think?

The general idea is that work relations will become more flexible, companies will scale up or down together with a network of specialists according to the workload they have. And this woul dlead to a diminished need for HR. I am very curious if you've come across these ideas as well and what your take on it is.

As per most of the CEO HR will be redundant in time to come. This feeling comes from businesses as they feel HR's operate as a standlone function. We will see more and more professionals from the business get into HR as they well tuned to business objectives. HR has to start feeling responsible for decrease in bottom line or low sales or M & A's and thats how we can keep ourselves alive as a function.
