What would do if contractor's performance continue to fall bellow acceptable?

First step is to actively and carefully maintain relationship with end customer. Keep them happy and try to fill the gap caused by contractor's failure.

Second step is to penalize and then disengage. The problem might come out if there is no appropriate replacement depending on services performed or products used. In other words if contractor is mopolizing the market.

Third step would be lawsuit.
