Water should consumed at a higher percentage in our body to maintain fluid and electrolyte balance or homeostasis. Fluids make up about 70 %of the human body. An alteration to this level may lead to deviations in the physiologic and anatomical integrity of the human body. We also lose fluids in breathing, perspiring, urinating, and defecating.
