We cannot choose an application to be the best for learning vocabulary, or English skills.

I think your need to certain vocabulary is the best drive to learn that word or words. So, you are advised to read more and write more to find out the vocabulary you need to use.

For mobile applications, I use Britannica English. the image below is the icon.

Britannica English

and if you want to go the website, click here.

it gives you many things like daily word and quizzes.

As I said earlier, it is not the best, but you use it as a source for learning vocabulary.

Hi!

Honest, I don't know much app for learning vocabs cause...err... these never were handy during my time and I learned as I maximized the use of the four skills.

Then I used many websites but preferred a4esl.org in teaching vocabs to EFL and ESL students later on.

As of this time, your app relies on your need, region and whatever is allowed or available there. I haven't got the best idea on specific apps though...

Still, if you want fun while learning I would recommend word factory and Wordbrain themes for common knowledge, while texttwist and scrabble offers more, both common and special words.  I play these and learn lots of new words.

Hope I helped even a little.

Enjoy learning!

That's easy.  Dump the app and get some reading material of interest and a dictionary.  The students then share the new vocal with the class and the others try to use the new words.  It's best to use some reading material that they are easily engaged.  If thy enjoy the topic and want to know about it, they will pick up the vocabulary quickly.  Be sure to use it......or they will lose it.

Good luck

Charles

There are lots of apps for learning English vocabulary but I suggest you use the dictionary.com because it can give users direct, immediate access to the definition of a term and its pronouciations.
