Britain has voted to leave the European Union (EU). The departure will probably take effect in late 2018. What are the implications, if any, for Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries?

Hello Duncan. For starters, the biggest impact will be on deals and trade negotiations between the GCC and United Kingdom. Since the united Kingdom will be not a part of eurozone anymore somewhere down the line after two years, It will be much easier for GCC countries to sign landmark trade agreements with the United Kingdom without having to wait for the approval of the euro parliament. Besides trade, I believe professionals from GCC countries will find it easier to get work permit in United Kingdom.
