1- Intangibility: As opposed to tangible goods, services cannot be touched.
2- Perishability: Services can not be stored..for example to cover unexpected / high future demand.
3- Simultaneity: Services are produced and consumed at the same time...making it impossible to perform quality check before delivery.
4- Heterogeneity: refers to inconsistant quality...services can not be produced at a standard quality because of high level of humen involvement. Also, different people rate same services differently...there is inconsistancy between their opinions.
