A voided check is a check that has the word “VOID” clearly written on it (see the sample at the upper-left corner of this page). In some cases, you can use an image of a voided check instead of an actual physical check.
Voiding a check “disables” the check so that it cannot be used like a blank check. In other words, a thief who steals a voided check can’t write the check to somebody by filling in a payee(like himself), entering a large amount, and signing it. However, the information from the check can still be used.
a voided check is a check written or partially written but then cancelled or deleted by the maker of the check. The comment void is been noted because it is prenumbered for control purpose & every single check is been accounted for.
