Just solved this issue now. Kindly try the following steps:
1. Go to My Profile then scroll down to Contact Information, you'll see that your mob no will be in red font with a "confirm your number" beside it
2. Click confirm and a dialogue box will appear
3. There should be an option to Send Confirmation Code. Click that.
4. You'll eventually receive the code in your mobile number which you have to enter in the dialogue box and you're good to go.

I actually succeeded in confirming my mobile number a minute ago. Here's exactly what I've done:
1. I pressed "edit" and I choose a different country with any legal phone number in that country, I tried "Saudi Arabia" in my case.
2. After entering, the website successfully accepted the edit and asked me to confirm that number.
3. I pressed "edit" again in the upper corner and choose my country with my actual number and it was magically accepted.
4. Then I pressed confirm and a text message delivered to my mobile phone with the confirmation code, entered it in the site and finally mission accomplished.

i delete my old account permanently,, now i created new account with more details.. but my contact number is old one i used for old account.. now to activate new account i enter old phone number so it says " this number is already in used with bayt.com " please tell me how to solve this issue

If you are receiving such type of messages then you should note following points:
1. Have you entered your contact number accurately?
2. Is your cell number remain online all the time?
3. Have you entered your country code before your contact number? (For example, if you are from Pakistan, then you have to start from +92 code, then enter your number (+923011234567).
