An 'interesting' Question indeed! Thanks Dear Rima.
I fully agree with and endorse both Mr. Ali Yakub Seesi Rutherfod
and Mr. John Hollis' astounding/constructive submissions.
Thank you Miss (s) Misters (s) for your help and accepting my invitations , I appreciate you have helped me a lot to improve my english skills
Hi, Rima. Hope you are well and thanks for the question. My answer to you would be two-fold. First, I would read some older American classics (think "To Kill a Mockingbird," "Great Expectations" or something of the like, as well as more modern ones such as Nathaniel Hawthworne's "In the Heart of the Sea.) Second, I would read periodical magazines such as Time Magazine, People Magazine and a bunch of American daily newspapers such as the Washington Post. The variety of conversational English used in both genres would really teach you a lot.
I am so glad you asked this question. Many of us believe that books are the only source of learning a language. Yes & No. Although it depends on what is the portion of efficiency desired linguistically, but largely, command over SPOKEN English should create a good foundation for most of us. The best support is combination of conversing with a trust worthy 'English speaking person' and reading good editorials in Newspapers. Try starting with these two.
I suppose you need to read all types of books. English language deals with every all issues.
I agree with Mr John's answer. Thanks for the invitation.
All kinds of reading is useful especialy when you like what you read.
Newspapers are interesting because they are about real life and the news. BUT they are not easy to read. Try reading newspapers if your level is intermediate or above. Many magazines have pictures which can help your understanding. You will need an intermediate level for most magazines, but a pre-intermediate level may be ok for some magazines.
Rima Thanks for the invitation and I wish you to be in the best case / There are many ways to help you on that, including the follow-up newsletters periodically / read newspapers and needs some voltage / read books of English Literature.
In my point of view the books an English Language or any other Language Learner are the books discuss different topics specially designed for learning and Educational purposes. Such as scientific, economic and other different fields of knowledge. In addition to Sturcutral Gramatical educational books to keep pacing with the lanuage gramatical rules.
