By increasing the slump value above 120mm the concrete workability will turns to free flow stage and hence no need of vibrators. To increase slump value admixtures to be used instead of water.

1) Use Immersion or Needle Vibrators with smaller diameter of rod.

2) External or Shutter Viberation. Forkwork should be strong enough for this.

3) Use of Admixture. To reduce air entraped between aggreagtes and to incease workabiltiy of concrete to avoid any defects in concrete. e.g. honey comb etc.

It can be redesign for mix of concrete by using small size of aggregate to get more workability and passing easily in a space of reinforcement.

Self-compacting concrete (SCC) is a flowing concrete mixture that is able to consolidate under its own weight. The highly fluid nature of SCC makes it suitable for placing in difficult conditions and in sections with congested reinforcement. Use of SCC can also help minimize hearing-related damages on the worksite that are induced by vibration of concrete. Another advantage of SCC is that the time required to place large sections is considerably reduced.
