One of the most common ways bloggers make money is through placing ads on their blog. You can also choose to sell sponsorship space in your newsletters, podcasts, and videos.
I agree with Aya Ahmad. A good way to make money blogging in the short run would be to sell space for advertisements.
But if you are considering long-term benefits like building a network base that would open doors to future opportunities, in that case it would be reasonable to blog about topics that would interest the readers.
Personally, I believe there are 3 kinds of readers.
The first are the ones that are interested in topics about religion, politics, and would read and discuss issues that they would be interested on a personal level.
Second are the ones that read blogs of a more professional understanding, like the posts on this page. These blogs are relevant career-wise and help in building a professional network.
Thirdly, are those readers who are reading only for the sake of entertainment or gossip discussions.
Sadly, the one that is the most profitable and has the highest viewership is the third category.
But again, one should only delve into a blogging career that would be relevant to their interests.
I fully agree & endorse the experts submissions here.
Thanx for the invitation
You should begin by focusing on what your blog will be about: perhaps issues and topics that are most important you and your community.
Issues / experiences that have touched or impacted your life the most.
If you are to focus on these matters, you would have the most relevant information and it would truly come from the heart.
Therefore, it would capture the reader’s attention and give you an edge over your competition.
Whether you are addressing a deep issue such as let's say; coping with the loss of a loved one or simply critiquing a restaurant, your readers will find value in your words and even gain benefit from your experiences.
There is a lot more to making money by blogging I'm sure, but I believe that focusing on what your subjects and topics will be is a good start.
Definately agreed to the experts answer.
