Frankly, do you think that psychometric testing is a helpful way to manage risk? Personally, I don't think so. If you are dealing with machines, you can do a standard compliance test. But in case of humans, their characters and attitudes changes with time and experiences they have had in the past.
Many people who are good turn bad, when they are working for highly incompetent managers. Then how does psychometric help in this situation. The point to be noted is you cannot measure anyone's personality or character based on a test, as things change in the world and people also changes with time. With a combination of good and bad experience, the person's character might change.
In today's world, how many managers are really good at their job, due to their potential or ability. If you say there are many, then you should be able to explain how are many companies failing despite having many managers to run the show. From the outside, the picture is rosy. It is when you enter the company, you get to know the exact status.
So, basically, if the upper management is good, they will be able to recognise talented people without any test, who has the potential to be an asset for the organisation. Otherwise, the disaster starts from the top.
Nice question, usually such test used thr. International companies, Companies not using such test increase not managing BUSINESS RISK PROPERLY.
