Attention: The power supply converts alternating-current (AC) power coming from a wall outlet into direct-current (DC) power, which is a lower voltage. DC power is required for all of the components inside the computer.

To check the power supply through the following steps:
- Unplug the electric current source
- Unplug all attached cables from the power supply
Now you can use one of two methods
The first method, use a small wire to connect the green cable with a black cable and then connect the electrical source if the fan worked, the power supply is good.
However, if you need advanced check use digital multi-tester voltmeter to measure the voltage of each colored cable. Each colored cable outputs the specific volts as follows
Yellow = +12v
Blue = -12v
Orange = +3.3v
Red = +5v
White = -5v
Black = Ground
