Every person has a different sense of thinking. In Pakistan, one has to attend years of basic education before entering into a university and in my view this system is% fit for a student because it grooms them in positive manner and builds basic foundation in them for their higher studies. One learns step by step hence the syllabus in each year is also made likewise.

In Egypt, We have spent 16 years at basic education before university which is too many !

I graduated and i was 21 and i needed to apply for jobs and so delaying the marriage age. I figured out that there're years of basic education which can be removed to minimize these years so we can start our real life early.

Well in the Philippines setting of education, we have shorter years in secondary education before attending university. But it doent mean that shorter years means you have shortage knowledge attained before taking up a degree. It is based on the curriculum of a certain school to complete the necessary courses to take before entering university. Recently Phillipine education adapted a longer years until 12 years in secondary education and that was just implemented this year by the Department of Education in the Philippines.
