Hi James,
Well, while applying for a job both knowledge and behavior are important and does mean a lot.
But what I feel is for a fresher behavior gains more weightage than knowledge. As the recruiters already knows that he/she is a fresher, they presumed that the candidate does not have the deep knowledge of the company's work so they emphasis more on behavior and confidence of the candidate.
It depends on event i.e. if selection is based on resume screening then knowledge is will be considered first. But wherein there is physcal interview is there then behavior will play very vital role. Suppose if the behaviour of applicant is not satisfactory then though he/she is having very good hold on knowledge then there are very minimal chance of being selected. So now here behaviour will be considered first. At end of the day good behaviour is very important.
Behaviour definately as you can have knowledge and not know how to apply it and most of the time you will gain knowledge on the job regardless of whether you have studied or not.
I think we can't separate one from the other.
We use our behavior in applying our professional knowledge.
Knowledge is easy if you have the right attitude and focus therefore behavior comes first
Behavior comes first, not the " Knowledge", because, if you have, right attitude, knowledge comes behind you.
I believe knowledge along with behavior is more suitable. If you take both things hand in hand then you are more likely to succeed.
Knowledge plus Behavior both are important for your job. We can not count knowledge without good manners and behavior. Your Behavior plays vital role to attract your Managers Or Boss. Knowledge leads your abilities and qualities.
