Persuasion, Communication and interpersonal Skills are essential qualities a marketer must possess
Hi Vaiyapuri and my thanks for this discussion, so, I’d say to process a lot of marketing info and make easy recommendations to company’s management, it is very actual to industrial companies where top management is mot marketers itself.
Regardless of the role you are in, strategy vs creative vs analytics vs account vs c-suite vs junior, etc… your most valuable and essential skills will be adaptability and applicability. The core functionality of marketing does not change, people’s behavioral motivations dont change, the process of creating brands with unique value propositions and then the communications that fuel them using data and analytics does not really change. But everything else changes, the technology changes, audience behavior changes, clients change, the brands you work on/with change, the companies you work for change. In order to thrive as a modern day marketer you must be able to not only quickly adapt to what is new but also understand how to apply it to the existing and articulate the crawl, walk, run process for managing that transition.
