A general goal/objective must be known before any strategic planning on how to achieve the objective will begin. You can not take decision alone in any activities because goals are achieve through others. To achieve successful operation different strategies need to be in place. The goal you want to achieve needs to be Precise, agile, consistent and fast, also cost effective, managerial and usable information must be visible and considered for any strategic decision.

Strategic decisions are concerned with:

  • The scope of an organization's activities,
  • The matching of an organization's activities to its environment,
  • The matching of the activities of an organization to its resource capabilities,
  • The allocation and reallocation of major resources in an organization,
  • The values expectations and goals of those influencing strategy
  • The direction an organization will move in the long term
  • Implications for change through the organization
  • They are therefore likely to be cpmlex in nature.
